In environmental & climate change education, the burden of responsibility is often placed upon the
learner. Learning about climate change can often cause extreme stress and anxiety in children.
While it is important to teach individual responsibility - this webinar will explore how we can
ensure that the child or learner, understands that they have not caused climate change and it is
not their responsibility to fix it.

How do we help young people to engage consciously and creatively with what’s unfolding in the world
around us without shutting down or burning out? This webinar will introduce participants to the
Joanna Macy’s approach to Active Hope and the Work that Reconnects. It introduces the 4 stages of
the spiral of Active Hope and how practices for each stage can be adapted for different age groups
from primary to secondary students with lots of case examples. We will also share resources about
facilitating Active Hope practices in classrooms.

In this webinar Una from SEAI will show us how sustainable energy can ignite curiosity in your
pupils, encouraging them to learn and save energy from an early age. Whether you’re interested in finding
out about energy in the new curriculum, or what’s involved in an SEAI pupil workshop (tailored for
junior and senior primary) or keen to start action projects in your school, this webinar is for
you. Teachers attending may consider joining our in-person day at Mount Lucas 21st March for ideas and to meet other teachers.

Teaching is demanding, so managing stress is essential. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping, is
a simple, self-applied tool that helps lower cortisol and calm the nervous system. Sinead will show teachers
how to use EFT to manage daily stress and stay grounded in the busy school environment. These basic skills
can also be shared with students to support them in dealing with climate anxiety and exam stress.

We are living in a polycrisis: war, hunger, floods, energy poverty, mis & disinformation, fears about food
security and the collapse of biodiversity - people suffering from climate impacts across the world. Is our
