We look at William Glasser's Choice Theory and the Quality Teacher as well as Restitution in the Classroom from Diane Gossan and some details about The Incredible Years Programme.

This website introduces us to William Glasser's Choice Theory, Total Behaviour, The Quality School and the Quality Classroom and much more. The Principles of Choice Theory can be used in the classroom to teach students that they have choices how to behave all of the time. They have full control over the choices they make every waking moment of their day.

 This is a blog from the the Reflective Educator. It is based onthe  teachings and book on Restitution written by Diane Gossan. Diane uses the principles of Choice Theory and Reality Therapy in her system Restitution in the Classroom.The role of a teacher should be to monitor student behaviour and to act as a feedback mechanism so that the students learn from their mistakes. Students will make mistakes, and you have to let them make those mistakes. You also need to provide them opportunities to make amends for the mistakes they have made.

The "Incredible Years" is a series of interlocking, evidence-based programs for parents, children, and teachers,supported by over 30 years of research. The goal is to prevent and treat young children's behavior problems and promote their social, emotional, and academic competence. The programmes are used worldwide in schools, and have been shown to work across cultures and socioeconomic groups. In Ireland programmes have been run by NEPS, HSE, and trainers from the Education Centre Network.
