WHAT IS GUIDED READING?  



The Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) summarises guided reading as follows:

Teacher works with 4-6 students in each group

Using levelled/banded readers and multiple copies of these readers

Children are grouped according to similarities in reading and development and instructional reading levels

Teacher introduces/consolidates strategies and concepts to support independent reading

Every child reads and is supported by their teacher

How can I book myself on a course?

Please note it is essential to register on this website first in order to book your place on our courses.

  • When registering please use your personal email rather than the school email.
  • You can then login using your email address or username and password and book your course.
