The linguistic profile of post-primary classes in Ireland has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. Linguistic diversity in post-primary classrooms poses challenges for teachers as well as EAL learners.
This course looks at six key areas that schools can develop to ensure
-EAL learners feel welcome, safe, secure, and supported
-Sustainable EAL provision within schools is structured and embedded more effectively
-Subject teachers are better supported and equipped to support EAL learners in mainstream classes.
This course is designed for already stretched teachers, the guidance, processes and resources are immediately relevant, readily usable, or quick to create.
