Lego® Serious Play® (LSP) is a facilitated methodology created by the Lego Group
Since 2010 it has been available as an open-source community-based model.
Building with LEGO® bricks is a fun and powerful way to engage the brain into thinking with the hands.
This introductory workshop to using the Lego® Serious Play® approach / methodology will look at ways to use Lego® to explore hand mind connections and learning.
When we use our hands to ‘tinker’ we engage the part of the brain that generates sensory images in our minds. This helps us to work out our thoughts and ideas and develop deeper understanding.
This hands-on practical workshop will introduce a range of enjoyable and engaging activities to support creative thinking, connecting, learning, and sharing using Lego® Serious Play®
The methodology which will be clearly explained and practiced during the workshop can be implemented afterwards with a wide range of participant groups including students, young people, leaders, teachers, co-coordinators and management and can be adapted for different areas of need and focus.
It can, for example, be used with groups / teams to support communication and team building, help to identify strengths and challenges, help to share ideas, create a vision, problem solve, reflect etc.
Participants will need a small space beside their computer where they can work with the Lego® Participants will also need to be prepared to have their cameras and microphones on to facilitate group work, sharing and collaboration.
