Kater4kidz Cookery and Nutrition Academy has been in operation since 2010, we have worked with thousands of children in our own training school and in primary schools all over the country.
Our mission is to educate and empower children so they have the capacity to cook for themselves. The habits and skills they develop in childhood stay with them throughout their lives and are an investment in their future health.
The aim of this course is to facilitate teachers in delivering meaningful cookery lessons in classroom situations and to thereby allow children to not only develop life skills but also experience practical applications of maths, science and SPHE.
This is a hands-on course and as well as practical cookery and baking, (15 recipes including novelty recipes for Christmas, Easter and Halloween), the course has modules on Health and Safety and Building a Cookery Kit from Scratch. There are also modules providing an overview on how food impacts the brain, the immune system and bone health.
On completing this course you will have the experience, resources and material to set up a cookery programme in your class or school – whether it is a random session or a planned programme for a school year.
